Maruti Launches driving school in Chandigarh: HT Live Correspondent Chandigarh

MARUTI UDYOG Limited launched its driving school in collaboration with Joshi Autizone in Industrial Area Phase II here today.

Inaugurating the driving school, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Jagdish Khattar, said road safety and traffic management are focus areas in Maruti's agenda for corporate social responsibility. "While we are requesting the government to set up a National Road Safety Board to improve road safety, we believe that Maruti, as the market leader, also has a role. Hence, this initiative of setting up Maruti Driving Schools across the country."

The Maruti driving school has a world - class simulator, on which learners can practice all car controls like steering, accelerator, brake and gear shift before they take the actual vehicle on the road. The simulators can also create various road and weather conditions like fog, dim light, uphill and downhill terrain so that learners can practice in all road conditions.

This initiative will be self sustaining activity for Maruti Suzuki India Limited. The first Maruti Driving School was launched last week in Bangalore and another in Kollam (Kerala).
